Seated courtside, Paul and Heather Mills take in a New York Knicks basketball game at Madison Square Garden. His presence is kept secret until the 3rd quarter when the Jumbotron shows him to the crowd, "Can't Buy Me Love" blasting over the sound system. The crowd gives the newest Knicks fan a standing ovation.

On the 20th anniversary of John Lennon's death, Paul issues a statement: "I'll be doing what we always enjoyed best together--making music. I'll be thinking of all the great times we had together and I'll be remembering him with all the love in my heart." He is indeed reported at Abbey Road studios recording three songs with an orchestra.

London's Picadilly succumbs to Maccamania as Paul appears at Waterstones book store to sign copies of his "Paintings" book. About 500 fans que in wind and rain for a chance to meet with Paul, one of whom is Macca-l's own "Kate-macca", who is selected to become Paul's co-star at this event. She has her picture taken with the "Beautiful Knight" and sees it transmitted worldwide. Crafty Kate even steals a kiss from Paul and is allowed to take photos alongside the world's press snappers. Other fans are similarly thrilled. Patricia Loveland, who also swapped a buss with the Beatle, said, "Sir Paul was delightful. I just cannot get over how nice he was to us."

Stella is maid of honor at Madonna's wedding to British film director Guy Ritchie in Scotland. Stella designs Madonna's wedding gown, as well as the flower girl dress for the bride's 4 year old daughter Lourdes. Paul is reported to be on the guest list, but is rumored to be on holiday in Jamaica. Tabloids report a holiday "truce" between Heather Mills and the McKids, instigated by Stella.
