On the 20th anniversary of John Lennon's death, Paul issues a statement: "I'll be doing what we always enjoyed best together--making music. I'll be thinking of all the great times we had together and I'll be remembering him with all the love in my heart." He is indeed reported at Abbey Road studios recording three songs with an orchestra.

London's Picadilly succumbs to Maccamania as Paul appears at Waterstones book store to sign copies of his "Paintings" book. Paul is reported to be on the guest list, but is rumored to be on holiday in Jamaica. Tabloids report a holiday "truce" between Heather Mills and the McKids, instigated by Stella.
